The Productivity and Sample Applications repository displays currently installed custom, productivity, and sample applications.
To view the Productivity and Sample Applications repository:
Instance administrators manage custom applications by uploading them to the Productivity and Sample Applications repository.
Once a custom application has been added to the Productivity and Sample Applications repository, developers can view, install, run, upgrade and deinstall it in the App Gallery.
Developers can develop their own custom applications. Like Oracle-supplied productivity and sample applications, custom applications typically include both application pages and the supporting database objects. To create a custom applications, you first export it. Then, an instance administrator adds the application export to Productivity and Sample Applications repository.
Tip:
Although the Productivity and Sample Applications repository displays all applications installed in the current workspace, instance administrators can only edit custom applications.

Upload custom applications to the Productivity and Sample Applications repository.
To upload a custom application to the repository:
Sign in to Oracle Application Express Administration Services.
Click Manage Instance.
Under Manage Shared Components, click Productivity and Sample Applications.
Click Create.
For Specify File:
Import file - Navigate to the file.
File Type - Select the type of export file to be imported.
File Character Set - Verify that File Character Set is correct.
Click Next.
For Application Details:
Application ID - Specify a unique integer value that identifies the application. The default is the value of Export File Application. Application IDs in the range of 3000 to 9000 are reserved for internal use by Oracle Application Express.
Category - Select the primary category to associate with the application.

Description - Enter a brief description of the application.
Click Next.
Click Create.

Track variety of information about a custom application and configure App Gallery behavior by editing the application details.
Tip:
Although the Productivity and Sample Applications repository displays all applications installed in the current workspace, instance administrators can only upload, edit, and delete custom applications.
Administrators track a variety information about an uploaded custom application including the application name, descriptions, group, status, associated categories, tags, language, and version. Use Status to control if an application displays in the App Gallery.
